After a whole career in another world, I finally followed the calling God placed on my heart: to create a space where people feel His love, feel genuinely seen and heard, and experience a little joy through great hair. I’m an energy chameleon—goofy, sarcastic, and ready to have fun if that’s your vibe, but just as happy to give you a peaceful, quiet appointment when you need it. I adore doing haircuts, highlights, and balayage, and I never rush a process because your confidence and hair health matter more than a quick result. When I’m not behind the chair with an iced caramel macchiato in hand, you’ll find me snuggling my dog, lost in a book, watching TV, or taking long summer backroad drives to any beach where I can listen to the waves. The clients and stylists at BL Beauty make this place feel like a second home, and my prayer is that every person in my chair feels comfortable, cared for, and prioritized—because to me, being a stylist is more than a job; it’s a blessing to be part of your transformation, inside and out.

Angela loves to customize her color formulas to meet her clients needs.  Nothing inspires her more than watching a color come together in front of the clients’ eyes.

I fell in love with doing hair the moment I realized I could blend creativity, artistry, and the joy of uplifting someone’s spirit—something my nail tech, Marilyn Meas, encouraged me to chase wholeheartedly. I adore curly styling services, transformative vivid colors, and big, bouncy blowouts, and behind the chair I’m a chatty, playful extrovert who loves to laugh but can dial it down to create a cool, calming atmosphere when the room calls for it. My day usually starts with a hot tea or fruity protein shake, and clients are always surprised to learn I have a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from Johnson & Wales. At BL Beauty, I’m surrounded by empowered, like-minded women who make this place feel like a warm space to grow, learn, and lift each other up. Being a stylist means pouring love and personalized care into every client while helping them feel confident and empowered through their appearance. When I’m not creating hair magic, I’m trying new restaurants, exploring nature, or curled up at home with my fiancé and our two dogs. During the Covid years, when I was working as a CNA, I found myself cutting hair just to bring a little normalcy and joy back into people’s lives—and that’s when I realized how deeply I loved doing hair. Now, as a stylist who thrives on creative color (the wilder the placement, the better!), indulgent scalp treatments, and precision-perfect finishes, my goal is always to match my client’s energy—chatty, calm, or anything in between—and make them feel safe, seen, and comfortable. I’m fueled by a medium iced Mocha Madness from Honey Dew and the constant shock people express when they learn I have a son, who is usually keeping me busy at home with dinosaur adventures. Being a part of the incredibly kind, supportive team at BL Beauty means everything to me, because doing hair isn’t just about the service—it’s about bringing joy to someone’s day, no matter what they’re going through. I’ll never over-process or rush a transformation, because healthy hair comes first; but if you sit in my chair, be warned—I can make anyone open up, and my playlist is as unpredictable as it is fun…which just means I’ll always have the perfect vibe to match yours.

I’ve always known I wanted to make people feel good about themselves, and it all started at 17 when my mom came home unhappy with her haircut because the stylist didn’t listen—so I told her I’d do her hair. Forty years later, she still comes to me every Friday! I love cutting and coloring, especially when a client walks in saying they’re ready for a whole new look. With a ginger ale or water nearby, you’ll usually find me soaking in the amazing vibe of BL Beauty—a place where we all get along effortlessly and where I’m genuinely grateful to still be doing what I love. To me, this isn’t just a job; people become part of you. Outside the salon, you’ll catch me deep into a murder mystery or volunteering at the North Smithfield Animal Shelter, where I've spent over 14 years helping animals in need. My goal with every person in my chair is simple: make them feel comfortable, truly heard, and confident walking out the door.
